In my opinion, on waters I fish, these are the most effective styles of taking trout. My home water, a smaller tailwater is tailored for a French or Spanish style with a long leader and smaller flies. But if I drive 40 miles up river a am treated to fast pocket water, which I love. Nothing like hooking a fat 17"+ fish right at your feet!!
