October has been tough on Long Island. Two weeks out of the month had winds of 15-20 from the Northeast! Every time I'd fish the ocean, be it Jones Beach or Robert Moses, the fish were way, way out of my casting range. Even the inlets weren't producing much. Earlier in the month I saw bait guys catching an occasional small Fluke. The guys targeting Blackfish by the rocks were doing OK but there wasn't much else going on.
