hi there,i was given this pattern by a lad whos fished the river dee for 40 years and its one of the only flys he uses,ive seen it catch him loads of brownies,just remember sometimes size is more important than pattern,these have to be no bigger than a size 18 so u want to tie up some 18's to size 22's smaller if u wish,also try use the best quality hackles u can,when doing dry flys i refuse to use poor quality hackles,ive also tied these as a parachute hackle,with a little tmc aero poly yarn,has to be the most boyant yarn ive used,very expensive but worth it,a very simply fly but it works brilliant.remember i really appreciate comments and feed back on all my videos. many thanks kev
