This carp was caught last November at 31lb 8oz so it's been feeding well during the winter on top quality high protein pellets. Mark targeted a specific marginal spot under a fir tree on the island margin which is an area well known for producing fish. The carp was caught on 2 x 20mm Blue Oyster boilies on a 10'' braided rig and a 3.5oz inline lead. Mark then went on to catch 4 more carp during his week-long session at Lake Beausoleil which will feature in another video. With current lake records standing at 50lb for carp and 95lb for catfish, Beausoleil is an amazing carp fishing holiday destination.
