About Me
I live on the lake and run a houseboat rental company with my parents and wife. I love to fish, even if the business keeps me busy and away from fishing more often than I'd like. :)
My favorite species to fish for is Smallmouth Bass, but I enjoy all the species in Lake Temagami, including Lake Trout, Whitefish, Northern Pike, and Walleye.
I am currently working on producing a Youtube based fishing show to promote the Temagami area that will launch September 2011.

We've had a couple people find rubber baits in the stomachs of Lake Trout that they have caught, and one person gave me the one they found. I'll be showcasing this on an episode to be released this winter, but would like to do some research before I finish up the episode.
1. How many of you use rubber/fake baits? Of those that you use, do you know what they are made with? Are they digestable? Will they decompose in a fish's stomach, or cause a blockage?
2. Does anyone know of what I could use to simulate a fish's stomach acids to put a bait in to see long term effects on the bait of being "digested"?
3. Has anyone else caught a fish and opened the stomach to find a rubber bait inside?

We've been backed up a lot with a few other paid projects and while we got video this summer for more episodes for Season 2, we're just finishing up Season 1.
Pali, I'm not sure if I can even get HCL? Anythig common that you could think of that I could use to roughly simulate?

We've really just launched into video last year, and we've had a blast with it. Unfortunately our seasonal tourism business takes up 8 months of the year and doesn't leave too much time for playing with websites, that's just a wintertime thing for me when the houseboats are in drydock.
I was very interested in your youtube comments, as with the fishing show now I am trying very hard to promote the area through it. I was a bit confused by the tags comments. Are you saying that for something like cats, I should post tags like this?
Since I'm running the fishing show as a "business" and promoting the sponsors that have helped fund the making of the show, I have to watch how I use it, but I'll see if I can't figure out a way to get the site here listed. Maybe once I... less
